True Happiness is different from ‘normal’
happiness. True happiness describes a deep
sense of inner well-being, peace and vitality that is with you
most of the time in most circumstances. People, who experience true happiness,
feel a deep sense of gratitude for simply being alive
Talking about the meaning of true
happiness has intrinsic, Islamic views based on evidence from the Qur’an and
also evidence from the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (SW)
ALLAH tells us in his word:
He it is Who sent down tranquility
into the hearts of the believers that they might have more of faith added to
their faith-- and Allah´s are the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah
is Knowing, Wise--. Al-Fath: 4
The Prophet said to a companion while they were near a mountain:
“I would not like to have gold equal to this
mountain of Uhud, unless nothing of it, not even a single Dinar of it remains
with me for more than three days, except something which I will keep for
repaying debts. I would have spent all of it (distributed it) amongst Allah’s
servants like this, and like this, and like this.” The Prophet pointed out with
his hand towards his right, his left and his back (while illustrating it). He
proceeded with his walk and said, “The rich are in fact the poor (little
rewarded) on the Day of Resurrection except those who spend their wealth like
this, and like this, and like this, to their right, left and back, but such
people are few in number…”
Sahih al-Bukhari Volume 8, Book 76, Number 45
Few thing
to be followed to be happy in life which are as follows:
Prayer:
And your Lord said, “Call on Me, I will respond to you.” —The Holy Quran 40:60
And your Lord said, “Call on Me, I will respond to you.” —The Holy Quran 40:60
Give Effort:
A human being can have nothing but what he strives for. –The Holy Quran 53:39

Maintain the Basics:
And they have been commanded no more than this: To worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion, being true (in faith); to establish regular prayer; and to practice regular charity; and that is the Religion, Right and Straight.–The Holy Quran 98:5

Demand everything from Allah only:
You alone do we worship and you alone do we implore for help”–The Holy Quran 1:5
You alone do we worship and you alone do we implore for help”–The Holy Quran 1:5
Love our Prophet Muhammad (SW):
Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet: O you who believe! Send you blessings on him, and salute him with all respect. –Holy Quran 33:56

Be responsible:
“Surely Allah does not change the conditions in which a people are in until they change that which is in themselves… (13:11).”

Remember to be Thankful:
Therefore remember me. I will remember you. Be grateful to me and never show me ingratitude.–The Holy Quran 2:152

Be Graceful:
“Whosoever intends to do a good deed but does not do it, Allah records it with Himself as a complete good deed; but if he intends it and does it, Allah records it with Himself as ten good deeds, up to seven hundred times, or more than that. But if he intends to do an evil deed and does not do it, Allah records it with Himself as a complete good deed; but if he intends it and does it, Allah records it down as one single evil deed.” (Bukhari, Muslim)

Look at those
with less:
The Prophet Muhammad (SW) said, “When one of you sees another who is superior to him in point of wealth and creation, let him look to him who is below him. That is more proper that you hold not in contempt the favor of God towards you” (recorded in Bukhari and Muslim).

Be grateful:
The more grateful
we are to have the things we do, the more Allah will shower you with His
bounties. Appreciation of what Allah has blessed you with is vital.
“If you express gratitude, I shall certainly give you
more, and if you are ungrateful, then my punishment is severe.”[Ibrahim: V7]
With these entreaties it
is hoped we can all live a happier life to transport us to our final place – HEAVEN,
where eternal happiness lies. May Allah be pleased with us always. Ameen.
