The importance and significance of competition in the welfare work
Good deeds and advancement in good deeds, is a command of Allah Almighty to compete. An important aspect of Islamic life.
Allah says in the Quran:
(2:148) “Everyone has a direction towards which he turns; so excel one another in good works.149Allah will bring you all together wherever you might be, for nothing is beyond His power.”
(3:133) “Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord and for a garden whose width is that (of the whole) of the heavens and of the earth prepared for the righteous.”
(57:10) “How is it that you do not expend in the Way of Allah when to Allah belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? Those who spent their wealth and took part in fighting before the Victory cannot be equated (with those who spent their wealth and took part in fighting afterwards). They are higher in rank than those who spent and fought afterwards. But to each Allah has promised a good reward. Allah is well aware of all that you do.”

In the first verse, Allah ordered them to compete in good work. He used the term 'Khairat' to describe all kinds of good works by using plural. All good actions have given the order to the competition.
In the second verse, Allah has ordered that all those things for his forgiveness be made to move fast forward towards all matters and methods. Likewise, the people have ordered to move forward towards paradise. He said about the scope of Paradise, it is equal to the heavens and the earth. Paradise has been prepared for the righteous. Those who fear God in all their actions and deeds, obey his instructions and lead their lives accordingly.
In the 3rd verse, Allah says that your wealth never stay with you forever. One day you have to leave it behind for sure; then Allah alone will inherit it. Thus the best thing would be that you should spend it yourself in the cause of Allah so that your reward for it is guaranteed with Allah. If you do not spend it yourself, it will in any case return to Allah, but then you will not be entitled to any reward from Him.
You should have no fear of indigence and poverty when you spend it in the cause of Allah, because Allah for Whose sake you would spend your wealth is the Owner of all the treasures of the heavens and the earth. He possessed not only what He has bestowed on you today but has much more to bestow on you tomorrow.
From the verse 10 of Surah Al-Hadith, we came to know that those who spent and fought in the way of Allah before the conquest of Makkah, and those who did this after the conquest of Makkah, are not equal to Allah in respect of dignity. Because, they have progressed in good work competitions.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah () said, "Fast forward to righteousness. Soon a dark night will be a victim of betrayal. The situation will be such that in the morning a person will be a believer and will be disbelieved in the evening. Even in the evening, the believer will be disbelieved in the morning. They will sell their religion for a little of the world's sake. "(Narrated by al-Sahih Muslim)
Lessons from the Hadith and the Massayel:
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Quickly proceed to righteousness." There should be no delay if there is a chance to do good deeds, Take advantage of the opportunity and time when these are available to you.
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) presented an illustration that the illusion of darkness will be so intense that if a person is a Muslim in the morning, it would be difficult to survive with Islam till evening.
Anti-Islamic campaigns and activities will increase so much that even if a man becomes Muslim in the evening, he will become skeptical about Islam in the morning.
People will sell Islam in the light of a little money, employment, visas, posts, campaigns, political benefits. People will start compromising with evil power.
People will become so much materialistic and enjoyable that even Muslims will leave Islamic rules in exchange for a little something.
The word 'Muslim in the morning' and 'disbeliever' in the afternoon means that people will be born in a Muslim family, will bear Muslim names, live in Muslim countries, enjoy social benefits of being Muslim, but will not be  keen to introduce themselves as a Muslim. Islam seems to be unimportant to them.
May Allah give us the strength and opportunity for doing good deeds. Ameen
